#New Re-Release & Book Review – The Bridge Club by Patricia Sands ~ 5⭐️

Date of Release: December 7th, 2020

Summary:

A re-release with added content to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Bridge Club!

• 2010 Foreword Reviews Book Of The Year (General Fiction)
• 2011 Next Generation Indie Book Awards (First Novel)
• 2012 Indie Excellence Book Awards – Womens Fiction

2010 ~ What starts as a monthly card game, turns into forty years that span a woman’s journey from youthful optimism to the challenges and opportunities presented as the years pass. The complexities of women’s friendships are played out through a maze of inevitable scenarios. Laughter and tears lead to a crisis that challenges principles and proves the power of friendship.

2020 ~ The Bridge Club Tenth Anniversary edition has not changed the main story but now the original Epilogue is built into the final chapter. A new Epilogue brings the women together ten years later to celebrate their 75th birthdays and reflect on how the decision at the end of the original story impacted the next decade.

The Bridge Club is a story for anyone who cares about friendship. Not simply the “Hi, how are you?” type, but the kind that weathers all storms, unselfishly celebrates triumphs, and hums along year after year with never an unkind word. It does exist.

If you already share a friendship like this, you will relate to the women of The Bridge Club. If you don’t, perhaps the story will inspire you to find it.

Review:

The “Bridge Club 10 year Anniversary” is a love letter to the strength & loving bonds of friendship! Dives deep into all of the facets of friendship and their other relationships!

Once again, Patricia Sands had given us characters that we never want to say goodbye to, so it was wonderful picking up where we left off! Catching up was so satisfying, I found myself fully invested again!

When I closed the book, I wished I’d had my own Bridge Club! These Bridge Games breed loving and supportive friendship!

Patricia Sands proves she is a leader in female friendship storytelling.

– Best Cover 2020.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Review:

I felt the power of friendship and love pour out onto the pages of “Lavender, Love, & Loss at Villa des Violettes”.

Once again, Patricia Sands captured the essence of France beautifully. Each page like a photograph; only you could smell or taste it! I was taken away!

Her writing is truly delectable.

It is always a gift to sit down and visit with Kat and Philippe.

I was so delighted each time an old friend from another story stopped by, but just as tickled to meet new ones!

I was truly touched when three friends from Canada visited Villa des Violettes. I trust you will all find a piece of you among their B&B guests or interwoven into Kat’s other friends or family tales.

I will never smell or look at lavender the same.

I am thinking of a lot of my loved ones by this story.

I have been truly touched and moved. I trust you will be, too.

Review:

It was truly a pleasure to be back traveling alongside Kat and Philippe on their adventures.

Patricia Sands has such a beautiful gift when writing her novels and “Lavender, Loss & Love” is no exception. She has a way of capturing your interest gently at the beginning and then you are left wanting more at the end.

The happenings of the family and friends are ones that will touch your heart and soul. Not to mention the guests at the Villa des Violettes and their stories.

This is the third book in the series and I would recommend reading them all!!!! You do not want to miss out on this awesome author !!!

#BookReview: A Season Of Surprises at the Villa des Violettes by Patricia Sands

DA4B7C0D-E86F-44BF-A6DD-7F1351C70CA1Review:

Meeting up with Katherine and Philippe again is like unwrapping a gift! I was so excited to have them back in my life again. Their B&B is getting ready for guests, the dogs are running around, the kittens are playing, and the grounds are starting to bloom. Simone is next door baking goodies for breakfast!

Once again, I was swept away on a mini vacation as I visited the South of France and visited with some old friends that I have missed!

This story is full of the same excitement and enchantment of France that the precious “Love in Provence” Series holds. If you enjoyed that series you do not want to miss this book. If you haven’t read it yet, then begin here and you will fall in love; this I promise you!

*The first book in this Novella Series is “The First Noël at the Villa des Violettes”. This is book 2, but can be read as a stand alone.
